Jordan Smith, Owner
Jordan’s first experience in the green industry came as a kid mowing lawns his Mankato neighborhood. He started doing landscape installation in 2007, and as student of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, he formed Smith Lawn and Landscape, LLC in 2010. Since that time he has grown Smith Lawn & Landscape from a one man operation with one lawnmower in the trunk of his car into one of the largest landscape installation companies in southern Minnesota. Jordan is very active in the company, working daily with our management team to on all aspects of the business.
In his free time, Jordan likes to spend time with his wife Laura, and their three sons at their home near Madison Lake.
Luke Buelow, Operations Manager
Luke joined Smith Lawn and Landscape in the summer of 2015. Prior to joining our team, Luke was a grounds manager at a large cemetery management company in Milwaukee. Luke has also worked for multiple golf courses in Milwaukee and Mankato as well as a national lawn maintenance firm for a total of 14 years in the lawn and landscape industry. Luke oversees day to day operations of the company, working with the entire management team to ensure they have all the necessary systems in place to complete projects on time and on budget. Luke has an associate’s degree in Golf Course and Grounds Management and recently received a bachelor’s degree from Wisconsin Lutheran College in Business Management and Leadership.
Luke resides in North Mankato with his wife Mandy and their two daughters. Luke likes to spend time with his family, hunting, camping, golfing, woodworking, and working on home improvement projects.
Brady Lux, Project Manager
Brady joined the team at Smith Lawn and Landscape in 2015. He has a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Design from South Dakota State University in Brookings. Brady has been working in the landscape industry for nearly 18 years, starting in high school working at a nursery and tree farm near his hometown of Sleepy Eye. Brady’s experience, knowledge, and incredible attention to detail will take your project from just an idea to a finished product that will be the envy of the entire neighborhood!
Brady resides in Mapleton with his wife Julie, and their two children. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family, camping, fishing, and cheering on the Maple River Eagles.
Adam Hansen, Sales and Service – Snow and Ice Control Manager
Adam joined Smith Lawn and Landscape in the spring of 2014 as a lawn maintenance foreman. Since that time he has moved into the position of sales and service, which includes general sales, estimating, scheduling, marketing, and customer service. He manages our Custom Edge Concrete Landscape Edging service as well as serving as our Snow and Ice Control Manager. Prior to joining our team, Adam owned his own lawn maintenance business in Arlington. With his 10 years of experience in the lawn, landscape, and snow removal industries, he can help you make the right choices for your property!
Adam resides in Arlington where he grew up. In his free time he likes to ride his Harley, going ice fishing, and spend time with family and friends.
Carl Adamek, Landscape Designer
Carl came on board in the spring of 2016. Carl handles all of our picture designs, overhead landscape designs, and our 3D landscape designs. Carl grew up working at his family landscaping and nursery business in his hometown of Willmar, MN. Carl is currently enrolled at Minnesota State University-Mankato for Construction Management and Environmental Plant Sciences. With Carl’s vast knowledge and experience with plants, flowers, and shrubs, he can help you make the right choices to beautify your property! In his free time, Carl likes to hang out with friends and family. He is also passionate about the outdoors.
John Langr, Office Manager
John joined our office staff in the spring of 2016. John handles all accounting, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll. Prior to joining our team, John spent over 20 years in the healthcare industry. This included research, clinical roles, and medical device sales and service.
John and his wife have three daughters and reside on their farm in rural Nicollet. John likes to spend his free time gardening and fishing.
